Aikido is a Japanese martial art that focuses on self-defence techniques and the redirection of an opponent’s energy. Aikido combines elements of various traditional Japanese martial arts, including jujitsu and swordsmanship. The philosophy behind Aikido is centered around the idea of harmony and non-resistance. Practitioners seek to blend with and redirect the force of an attack rather than meeting it with direct opposition. Aikido techniques often involve joint locks, throws, and pins to neutralize an opponent’s aggression. Practitioners learn to use their opponent’s energy and movements against them, emphasizing fluidity, timing, and balance.

Aikido techniques are designed to be effective while minimizing harm to both the practitioner and the attacker. In addition to physical techniques, Aikido also incorporates spiritual and philosophical principles. Practitioners strive to cultivate a peaceful and compassionate mindset, aiming to resolve conflicts without violence whenever possible.

Whether you’re seeking a new martial arts adventure, a path to personal growth, or a cultural experience, Aikido offers a unique and fulfilling journey.

In this workshop you’ll be provided with the following:

  • A change of clothes.
  • 1-hour training session guided by an instructor and a Japanese Martial Arts Expert.
  • A space for you to explore and experience a new art form altogether.

We aim to provide an enjoyable experience for all attendees. To that end, we ask that you please refrain from engaging in any sort of disruptive behavior, including but not limited to: being excessively loud, making offensive comments or gestures, refusing to follow event staff instructions, and bringing outside food or drink into the venue. If you violate any of these rules, you may be asked to leave the event without a refund.

  1. All tickets purchased are valid for 14 days from the date of purchase, and the ticket here should be booked at least 2 days in advance for slot availability.
  2. Smoking/Drinking is NOT allowed inside the theater.
  3. Party poppers/Snow sprays/Cold Fire/Sparkle candles, and any other similar items are strictly PROHIBITED inside the theater.
  4. Couples below 18 years age are not allowed to enter the theater. Under 18 years can come in groups
  5. No refund will be allowed once the ticket is purchased.
  6. We request you reach the venue at least 15 mins prior to your event scheduled time for seamless entry and commencement of the event.
  7. For reservation and confirmation of date and time please contact the merchant directly. Rescheduling a booked slot for the activity/ event is subject to the merchant’s discretion.
  8. Merchants may take photographs and videos of the registrant for marketing collateral and materials. If you do not wish to be photographed please inform the merchant beforehand and your privacy shall be maintained.
  9. Attendees must comply with all venue rules and regulations.
  10. The organizer reserves the right to refuse entry to any attendee who appears to be intoxicated or under the influence of drugs.
